10+ Years:Long-Term Partnership
100–200 Sets:Where the Partnership Started
4 Manufacturing Bases:Built to Scale with Customer Growth
Synopsis
From 100–200 sets and a US$3,000 order to a designated supplier relationship, Meiya and A Consumer Electronics Brand have built a decade-long partnership based on quality, reliability, responsiveness, and problem-solving.
Over the past ten years, Meiya has supported A Consumer Electronics Brand through small-batch orders, urgent production changes, complex custom displays, large-scale projects, and challenging logistics requirements. With end-to-end quality control, fast response, integrated production support, and four coordinated manufacturing bases, Meiya has grown from a small workshop into a trusted long-term display partner.
Ten Years of Trust, Built on More Than Delivery
From small-batch orders of 100–200 sets to becoming a designated supplier; from a small startup workshop to a coordinated production network across four manufacturing bases.
This is more than a ten-year partnership between Meiya and A Consumer Electronics Brand. It is a story of trust, responsibility, and growing together.
In the custom retail display industry, customers need more than a factory that can manufacture cardboard displays. They need a long-term partner who understands their brand requirements, adapts to market changes, and can be relied on every time an order is delivered.
The story of Meiya and A Consumer Electronics Brand began with exactly this kind of trust.
01 | Starting with 100 Sets: Earning Our First Trust by Being Reliable
Ten years ago, Meiya was still in its early startup stage. The team had fewer than 10 people and did not yet have dedicated production equipment.
A Consumer Electronics Brand’s first orders were only 100–200 sets, with a total value of no more than US$3,000.
For Meiya at the time, an order of this size was a major test. Small-batch custom displays require attention to structural design, color matching, production scheduling, packaging, and shipping. Every stage takes time and effort, while the limited order volume left us with almost no economies of scale.
But we understood one thing clearly: customers would not lower their expectations for quality or delivery simply because we were a small factory.
At the time, Shirley Ning, Meiya’s first employee and now its Sales Director, personally participated in and witnessed this early stage of the partnership. From sample approval and print color matching to production follow-up and final inspection, Shirley made sure every step was closely monitored and properly executed.
Without the advantages of scale, we made up for it with more attentive follow-up. Without a strong cost advantage, we earned customer recognition through greater flexibility and commitment.
At that time, Meiya had only one real advantage to offer: reliability.
We believed that every order was a vote of trust. Even if the order was only 100 sets, we treated it with the same level of care we would give to 1,000 sets.
That commitment, which began with a small order, became the starting point for a ten-year partnership.
02 | Quality: The Standard We Never Compromise On
Custom retail displays are far more than simple paper products.
From structural stability and print color to finished dimensions, assembly performance, and packaging protection, any small deviation can affect how a brand is presented at retail.
For a brand customer like A Consumer Electronics Brand, a display does more than hold and present products. It also directly affects the brand image and the in-store experience.
That is why, throughout every stage of our partnership, Meiya has embedded quality control into the process itself.
During sampling, we focus on whether the structure is sound and whether the display performs as expected. During printing, we closely monitor color reproduction to keep mass production as consistent as possible with the approved sample. During production, we address issues promptly so they do not move into the next process. Before shipment, we conduct thorough final inspections to ensure the finished products meet the agreed requirements.
We understand that quality cannot be secured by a final inspection alone. It is a shared responsibility across design, sampling, production, and final inspection.
Over ten years of cooperation, this end-to-end quality mindset has allowed A Consumer Electronics BrandI to gradually build confidence in Meiya.
True quality does not mean promising that no problem will ever occur. It means resolving problems as early as possible—before delivery—and taking responsibility for the final result.
Example
In July 2025, we received a design from A Consumer Electronics Brand’s design team for a POD display for a projector product at a PRICEMART store.
The original design provided by the customer was intended to hold 96 units. However, while communicating with the product factory during sampling, we discovered that the actual requirement was 97 units. In addition, one bare unit was intended to serve as a sample and needed to be assembled directly onto the POD for display.
The customer’s original plan was to ship the sample separately and assemble it at the store. Our team felt this would add both time and transportation costs, so we decided to find a better solution. After multiple rounds of communication and confirmation with the designer, we developed a solution that allowed the sample to be fully assembled and installed directly onto the POD. We also conducted transportation testing. The final solution achieved the intended display effect while reducing additional transportation and packaging costs, and it received strong recognition from the customer.
Thinking from the customer’s perspective—and taking it one step further—is where trust begins.
03 | Delivery: The Real Test When It Matters Most
In the retail promotional industry, plans often have to change faster than the market.
Especially around major promotions, sales performance, promotional schedules, and channel demand can all lead to last-minute additional orders, design changes, or adjustments to the original shipping schedule.
For a display supplier, these changes may require production schedules, material preparation, print files, and logistics arrangements to be coordinated all over again.
During our partnership with A Consumer Electronics Brand, we have faced many moments like these.
Last-minute increases before major promotions, production schedule changes as vessel cutoffs approach, and unexpected artwork revisions—these situations test not only a factory’s production capacity, but also a supplier’s response time and problem-solving ability.
When urgent needs arise, Meiya follows a rapid-response approach and can quickly source materials from major paper mills when necessary. We do not make unrealistic delivery promises. Instead, we assess the situation immediately, coordinate resources, and work with the customer to find a practical solution.
We know that what customers find hardest to accept is often not the change itself, but a supplier that fails to respond when the change occurs—or leaves no one accountable when a problem arises.
Delivery management is not simply about putting an order into the production schedule. It is about retaining the ability to solve problems when the plan changes.
Over the past ten years, we have refined the way we collaborate through one urgent request after another, gradually building a more mature communication and delivery process.
Example
In July 2024, we had a TV mount display project shipping to HOME DEPOT: 6,000 display units, requiring nearly 40 containers. As the shipping deadline approached, the product factory was unable to complete its goods and had no manpower available to handle the assembly and packing of the displays.
To ensure the customer’s products could reach stores on schedule and avoid substantial product losses and penalties, Meiya stepped in and took responsibility for assembling two-thirds of the display quantity. We quickly organized a production line covering product placement, assembly, packing, and container loading, and delivered the containers on time.
From that point on, the customer’s phrase, “If there’s a problem, call Meiya,” became widely known within their supplier network.
04 | Service Beyond Manufacturing: End-to-End Support from Design to Delivery
As our partnership deepened, A Consumer Electronics Brand’s display requirements gradually expanded from straightforward product purchasing to more complex, customized project collaboration.
At the same time, Meiya’s role continued to evolve.
From structural design and sampling in the early stages to mass production, packaging solutions, and shipping coordination, we worked to integrate the different stages and provide more comprehensive support.
Especially when design changes, production issues, and logistics changes occur at the same time, simply completing the factory’s internal production tasks is no longer enough to meet the customer’s real needs.
We have to ask: Can the product be completed successfully? Is the packaging suitable for transportation? Can the production schedule align with the vessel schedule? If a problem occurs, how can we minimize its impact on the customer’s overall project?
These questions rarely have a simple, standard answer.
What Meiya does is proactively coordinate the relevant parties, communicate risks in a timely manner, and drive issues toward resolution rather than simply saying, “That’s not our responsibility.”
From design to sampling, from production to packaging, and then through shipping coordination, we want customers to work with one partner capable of coordinating the whole project—not multiple suppliers that require repeated communication.
To us, the true value of service is not claiming that we can handle every step ourselves. It is being willing to step forward whenever a project encounters a problem and keep things moving.
Example
One project that left a particularly strong impression on the entire Meiya team took place in October 2020, during the challenging period of the pandemic. We undertook a highly demanding custom cardboard display order for SAM CLUB.
The main challenge was the display’s exceptionally large overall size. Each container could hold only 20 sets, while the required load capacity was 600 kg, making it the highest load-bearing requirement we had taken on since the company was founded.
The project required us to solve two major challenges simultaneously: designing a high-strength load-bearing structure and selecting specially customized materials to meet the required load capacity. On top of that, we needed to complete a full set of transportation reliability tests.
Because of the display’s oversized dimensions, conventional third-party testing facilities were unable to conduct the transportation tests. Through multiple rounds of structural calculations and internal engineering reviews, we had theoretically confirmed that the load-bearing performance met the requirements. However, the order was large—1,500 sets in total, filling 75 containers. Given the risks involved in large-scale overseas shipment, we were not willing to rely solely on theoretical data and tell the customer that it would “probably be fine.”
There is always a way forward. To realistically simulate overseas container transportation conditions, we used a heavy-duty crane to conduct full-scale loading tests ourselves. We simulated demanding conditions including vibration, load-bearing stress, and drops during transportation, verifying the stability of the displays under complex logistics conditions. This gave us confidence that the products would remain intact and free from deformation throughout ocean transportation and arrive safely at the customer’s destination.
05 | From Flexibility on Small Orders to Scale on Large Projects: Ten Years of Growing Together
Ten years of partnership have also witnessed Meiya’s own continuous growth.
In the early days, when handling small orders of 100–200 sets, we relied on flexibility, close follow-up, and fast response.
But as the partnership deepened and order volumes and project sizes grew, relying solely on manual follow-up and small-scale production was no longer enough to meet the customer’s combined requirements for cost, capacity, and delivery.
Meiya began continuously strengthening its production system and gradually developed into a coordinated operation across four factories.
Greater production capacity allows us to coordinate different orders more effectively, improve resource utilization, and use more mature production planning to secure more competitive cost and delivery conditions for our customers.
At the same time, by leveraging our proximity to ports and available logistics resources, we have continued to optimize shipment coordination and transportation planning, reducing the impact of logistics on project delivery.
From the flexible support we provided for small batches in the beginning to the large-scale production and supply chain resources we can offer today, Meiya has gradually built a more complete service capability.
For small orders, we compete on flexibility. For large orders, we compete on scale.
And as our partnership continued to deepen, A Consumer Electronics Brand’s trust gradually evolved from approval of individual orders to recognition at the long-term supply-chain level.
From our initial small-batch cooperation, to becoming a designated supplier, and eventually achieving inspection-exempt status for our products, this represents more than a stronger business relationship. It reflects growing recognition of Meiya’s quality management, delivery capability, and service performance.
That recognition was not earned through a single delivery. It was built through trust accumulated across countless projects.
06 | The True Value of Ten Years Together: Growing Through Each Other
Looking back on our ten years with A Consumer Electronics Brand, what we see is more than the growth in order volume or Meiya’s transformation from a small workshop-style team into a multi-factory production operation.
More importantly, we have built a partnership in which we can face change together, solve problems together, and adapt together to evolving market needs.
As our customer’s business has grown, it has pushed us to continuously improve our quality management, production organization, and supply chain coordination. At the same time, Meiya’s growing capabilities have created more opportunities for deeper collaboration in the future.
From 100–200-set small orders to a steady flow of monthly orders, and from US$3,000 orders to annual order values in the tens of millions of RMB, we earned opportunities through reliability; we built trust through quality with every delivery; we strengthened the partnership through responsiveness and accountability during urgent orders and unexpected changes; and as our production scale and service capabilities grew, we developed the ability to take on larger and more complex projects.
Ten years of trust does not mean we never faced challenges. It means that after every challenge, we chose to move forward together.
This is also the partnership philosophy Meiya has always stood by:
Quality gives customers confidence. Delivery gives customers peace of mind. Service makes things easier for customers. Competitive costs make the partnership stronger.
These four principles are not only how we earned A Consumer Electronics Brand’s trust. They are also the foundation that has enabled Meiya to survive, grow, and continue to be a trusted display partner from our startup days to where we are today.
Looking ahead, we hope to bring the experience we have built and validated over ten years to more brand customers, growing alongside them and creating lasting value together.
